Imexus 27 for sale. Built in 2007 and launched in 2008. A water ballasted trailer-sailer with swing keel, capable of 20 knots powered by her fully serviced Honda 90hp outboard engine or cruising under sail at 4-6 knots with a fully battened mainsail and furling genoa. In 2009 her hull had Epoxy added and then Coppercoated. She has mock teak in her cockpit which was added in 2011. A full cockpit cover & spray hood was added in 2016. New batteries x 2 in 2018. She is a well equipped boat with accommodation for 4. This trailer sailer has been well cared for by her present owner. IMEXUS 27TRAILER/SAILER "AMETHYST" Owner' Description/Additional Information: ThisPolish-built, part water-ballasted trailer/sailer was exhibited on the Importer's stand (Wittey Marine)at the 2007Southampton Boat Show. Dumping the ballast results in an easily-trailable outfit on its bespoke double-axle road trailer with a manageable 'dry' trailer-weight of just under1.5tonnes.-a feature which permits cruising on far-off waters. At sea with water ballast evacuated and keels and rudders raised, the boat will rise onto the plane and 'fly' at up to 20 knots powered by the Honda 90HP outboard. It sails fairly well too, with its large roller-furling Genoa and fully-battened main with lazy jacks and all lines led back to the cockpit. With the swing-keel and twin rudders up, the boat draws only1 foot of water which makes for creek-crawling without anxiety. Living accommodation is generous in an attractive, spacious ambience of light oak with blue soft-furnishings (which we store at home in winter).There is full standing headroom in the galley area, comfortable berths for 4, seating for 6t o 8, a well-equipped galley and separate heads. The cabin table even has a built-in wine'cellar'! The engine (390 hours logged) has a fully-documented history of annual services by a main Honda Agent. The trailer, too, has only been lightly used - the longest trip being when we collected the boat from the importer in Buckinghamshire and brought it home to Devon. Since then we only move the trailer twice a year the 10 miles to/from the Dolphin Yard at Galmpton Creek where the boat it is moored alongside with 'walk-on/walk' off access plus water and electricity. It sits on the trailer during the Winter. The half-tide mooring plus next winter's lift-out and yard storage ashore are all paid for and included in thesale. The hull was professionally epoxy-coated and treated with "Coppercoat" in 2009. Boat named dodgers were added the same year. The cockpit seats and floor were professionally covered in Teak-effect "Permateek in 2011. A new sprayhood and fully enclosed cockpit cover were fitted in 2016 to hugely extend living space when alongside and facilitate powered helming under cover in the rain. Being retired, short-handed (and easily scared!) we haven't ventured far. Most of our trips have been on the River Dart with fair weather trips to Brixham and Salcombe. We did, however, venture down to Fowey once in company with others from our boat club. Although a rare-ish craft, there's another lmexus 27 ("Estrella") in Brixham marina. This has been a much-loved, well looked-after boat in which we've had a lot of good times in the last ten years since it was launched in 2008. However, in age terms we're now "in God's Departure Lounge, hoping our flight has been delayed" which means we're not as agile as we were! Time to move on to more leisurely pursuits. We shall be sorry to see it go, but if it goes to someone who will love and enjoy it as we have, the pain will be manageable. The orginal Invoices (original purchase + subsequent "ready to sail away" extra's) total over £55,000 - which represents a lot of boat for what is now asked.
